Bulgarian Summer: More Art

The Art Gallery of Lovech is small, bespoke, and wonderful -- the day we visited to take a look it showcased oil paintings of the two past designs of the Covered Bridge over the Osam River.  The original bridge was built entirely of wood in the mid 1870's by the architect Kolio Fitcheto.  It burned down in 1925, and was rebuilt with a completely different (iron and concrete) look, until it was reconstructed yet again in the year I was born to resemble its original form.  I am truly fascinated with this bridge, and has been since I was a child... Another painting that caught my eye was "The Old Lovech", an architectural landscape of the Revival houses of the Varosha neighborhood.
