School Pickup
The best photos I've ever taken were always unplanned. Always. I love the spontaneity of just picking up the camera and clicking whatever feels right in the moment, and this makes me a happy photographer (and is also the reason I am not a commercial or studio photographer; I simply cannot stand staged images). Keeping it simple and real is in the core of my soul and my art. So when I went to pick up the boys from school last night, I decided to make the most of the setting sun and the fact that I still had the lens from my last photoshoot. Here are the pictures: an impromptu portrait session with two kids playing in a church yard next to their school, chasing each other around, holding hands, looking cute, and not ever listening to what I'm saying.
