San Francisco is 49 square miles surrounded by reality

~ Paul Kanter

Last Friday I took off from reality and went up to the City to spend the day playing tourist.  I visited Coit Tower, had lunch with John, and hung out at his office for the rest of the afternoon before we headed home to pick up the munchkins and crash back into our life of routine, soccer games, teething babies, mountains of laundry, and eating popsicles in the back yard.

I am starting to build a stronger relationship with San Francisco.  I've always liked it, but the more I get to know it, the better I appreciate it.  It is the crown jewel of the Bay Area, and barring a couple of unpleasant encounters with odd characters in SoMa, I had a great time.  Views from above and below, below.

P.S. Favorite moment: finding Pfeiffer Street.
