Light, Inside and Out
I wanted to do something different for months. This isn't fundamentally different or new, but it's a step in the right direction. I am going for a wider and less structured composition, and for snapping away without waiting for an eye contact or hoping for a perfect pose.
These are taken yesterday afternoon during the golden hour in the least attractive part of my house - the hallway - as apparent by the baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs. But the light there is just amazing as the sun starts to set and shines through the bathroom window. I didn't stage any of this; what triggered me was the simple vision of illuminated dust floating in the air after the kids played upstairs.
My favorite must be the one of Julian with the shiny copper hair. Recessive genes are the bomb.
