Yesterday Julian and I visited Magic Mountain playground and the Coyote Point beach. It was hot at high noon, it was bright, and it was wonderful! Julian got properly dirty, and I got properly tired, but it was worth every sunshiny minute of it. We are lucky to live in an area where such infrastructure exists. I was thinking lately how different life would be if we lived in New York City or somewhere busy, crowded and fast - there would have been lots of social interaction, interesting culture and cutting edge knowledge, but right now nothing beats the clean vast space of a public park right on the Bay. Do it for the kids is my motto, and I think I have the right idea.
It was Julian's first tryout day at daycare this morning. He did FANTASTICALLY and I am so proud and hopeful and reassured.
