Here we are again, at the gym where Johnny used to go last year, and I have such a strange sense of déjà vu.
This place helped Johnny segway to daycare the way daycare prepared him for preschool, and Julian is now following the same steps. We had a great first class, made even greater by the fact that I didn't feel the same pressure as before to get into the local "mommy club" or fear for my child getting hurt or catching a bug from the other kids. Julian is more careful than Johnny in the way he moves, and he's much more easy going, not to mention that his immune system has already been exposed to the common colds carried by children for what it seems to be all the time.
All in all, I am happy to report that I have found something to do during this physically demanding age between babiness and toddlerhood. Yet, the quest for the perfect daycare continues. Wish us luck!
